I believe design should be rooted in advocacy, grounded in ethnography, and untethered to the status quo. I use design to increase quality of life. Most times a maker, always a thinker.
I will graduate this May with an MFA in Products of Design at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. During my final year I am using design as a language to talk about the burdens and experience of motherhood for first-time moms. Some projects I’m excited about now include an on demand babysitting service where sitters meet you on the street, just like a Lyft, and an artificial womb that allows parents-to-be using surrogate to experience special moments in pregnancy.
