Based on a visual and cultural study of tea-pot patents and tea, ‘Encapsulate’ fosters a space of comfort. The space is conceptually driven by rituals of tea drinking and the personalization that accompanies this activity. Physical and emotional warmth that derives from tea is communicated through the sun's ability to heat copper awnings. The landscape allows users to experience their shelter alone or with company, and to adapt their space by adjusting movable awnings, which directly controls heat intensities.
